Mineral makeup has been around for years but it is only recently that it has really taken off. If you have not tried it yet, when you do you will probably be amazed. The Bare Minerals range includes the best selling foundation in America, which is proof that millions of people are dedicated converts to the mineral way of beauty.
Mineral makeup products are totally unique. You can buy mineral based foundation, blusher, bronzer and even lipstick. The products are actually made up of ground rocks, are totally natural and do not contain any additives such as chemicals, filters or dyes. With the exception of lipstick, the product itself looks like powder and is brushed onto the skin.
The mineral content of the beauty products can actually be good for your skin. The foundation does not melt, looks really natural, and creates a sort of luminous healthy glow. It is also really good at hiding imperfections. Unlike conventional foundation, it does not sit in wrinkles or clog pores (which with normal cosmetics can sometimes have the unfortunate effect of actually magnifying imperfections that you are trying to hide).
It does take a while getting the hang of the application, which is why I would recommend going for a makeover at a Bare Escentuals counter so the experts can demonstrate and talk you the best way to wear the products. The Bare Minerals range is probably the market leader, but all the main cosmetics houses are catching up with their own mineral beauty ranges, so whatever your budget you should have no problem finding great mineral cosmetics products.
For wholesale makeup buyers interested in mineral products, these are not that easy to find but deals do come along occasionally from some of the sellers that you will find featured on Cheap Slap. My feeling is that wholesale cosmetics suppliers will be dealing more in these products as the mineral makeup market grows.
