Here is my (quick and dirty) what/when/where/why review for anyone thinking of sourcing wholesale makeup from Salehoo.
What: Salehoo is a popular wholesale directory that claims to give you an advantage over the competition through access to the world’s top suppliers of top name brand products, and smart advice from experienced people. There are thousands of suppliers, and most ship internationally so it does not matter where you are located.
When: This online resource is open 24/7 and you can get started once you have paid a one-off joining fee of $67. They also offer a money back guarantee.
Where: At www.salehoo.com
Why: The site has a feedback system which makes it easier to check out potential suppliers before you buy. Sellers are given independent ratings by eBay powersellers and other members. There is also a lot of free information and advice, various bonuses when you sign up, and a forum where you can ask questions. Overall it is a good general wholesale directory site, and a good place to start if you are not sure what to sell on eBay, because there is such a massive selection of products available.
Why not: Well, call me biased
, but if you are specifically only looking for high end wholesale makeup and cosmetics brands like MAC, Clinique etc, then for a tiny fraction of the cost of joining Salehoo, you will find all the specialised wholesale cosmetic suppliers you need on Cheap Slap. By all means, join Salehoo if you wish to review a wide range of other product categories, but for wholesale makeup and cosmetics Cheap Slap already has it covered.
If you really don’t believe me, please check out Cheap Slap has to offer before you join Salehoo, I think you will be delighted with what you find!

Is salehoo a one-time fee or yearly? I am a bit confused.
Hi there, as far as I know it is a one time only fee.
Thanks for the reply. I have since joined and cancelled my membership. It wasn’t a one-time fee. Salehoo changed their payment about a year ago. I felt it wasn’t right for new members to pay an annual due and existing customers a one-time fee. IMO.
Hi Duc, thanks for clarifying this. I didn’t know it had changed. Cheap Slap membership is a low one-off fee – much better value!
