Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a lovely time over the holidays and that you are dying to get going and make a huge success of your wholesale makeup business in 2010!
With all the snowy weather in the UK at the moment you have a great excuse for staying warm indoors and making some serious plans about what you want to achieve in the next 12 months. Why not write down your goals if you have a few minutes – supposedly just by writing your goals down it makes them more likely to come true!! Er, okay then here goes…
2009 was great for me professionally but I still have a few more business goals for 2010:
1. Centralise the different parts of my business so that I can be entirely home based. I am a freelance beauty therapist and make-up artist, and also have an eBay business, two separate cosmetics websites, as well as running Cheap Slap as a hobby. With all that going on I am always all over the place – and so is my stock. In 2010 I will have a new treatment room/office/store in my garden and clients and the Royal Mail collection sevice will come to me. Oh joy.
2. Cheap Slap to be the trusted go-to resource for anyone starting a new make up business, or just looking for advice on reputable wholesale cosmetics suppliers.
3. Improve my website skills and revamp my existing cosmetics sites as well as launching a couple of new ones which are in the pipeline.
My personal goals are simple:
1. Get fit and lose weight (yawn). I know, v boring, but I am a lightweight when it comes to diets and in danger of becoming a heavyweight unless I take some serious action. I hereby declare I will end the year 10lbs lighter.
2. Stop being such a flaky shaky when it comes to driving. I try to avoid driving anywhere out of my comfort zone but it is starting to affect my quality of life. So – hypnotherapy beckons.
Go on then, your turn! It sounds soft but I don’t see how it can do any harm. Remember that for everyone who starts the year with great plans for their eBay business or whatever, just as with any resolutions, most people will fall by the wayside and will not follow through.
Don’t let that person be you. If you have only one goal, the most important one is not to quit, and I guarantee you will be streets ahead of the competition.
