This is the second in the series of articles about how newbies can get started selling wholesale makeup in time for Christmas. In Part 1, we looked at how to take the guessing out of the equation, by pinpointing your target customers and what is on their wish list. Now all we have to do is give them what they want!
The next step is to source your wholesale cosmetics stock. If you do not already have a wholesale supplier, you can find out everything you need to know when you join Cheap Slap. Take your time looking through the various deals, products, and prices available from all the suppliers, and make a shortlist of items you would like to sell.
Just wait a sec before you rush off on a high end cosmetics buying spree, because at this point there are a couple of options. You can either:
Buy now, sell later, or
Sell now, buy later
Confused?! Here’s what I mean:
As you will see from inside the Cheap Slap Member’s Area, some deals are one-offs so if you want those particular products, you need to decide quickly whether or not to buy before they are all gone. This mainly applies to the top cosmetics deals from the US. These are the products you will buy now, sell later. So if you buy 50 MAC items you need to be really sure you know you can sell them!
Other sellers, for example the UK cosmetic wholesale houses, have a stock list that does not change so much. That means there is a good chance that you will still be able to get what you want in a couple of weeks time, or whenever it is that you are ready to buy. This allows an almost foolproof way to ensure that you can always sell whatever you order, and you can even raise the money to pay for your order in advance with a crowd of hungry customers screaming for your products!!
How do I do that, Melissa? Well, I can only promise it is easy, and that I will be back very soon with the final instalment in this Selling Wholesale Makeup guide…
p.s. The brand new Cheap Slap site will be unveiled over the next few days – we are undergoing a complete transformation with loads of new features being added, so please check back soon…bye till then, Melissa x
