Hi there, my name is Melissa, and mostly I am about family and wholesale makeup. I am a beauty therapist and makeup artist and sell cosmetics mainly to clients. I also have an eBay business, and a couple of websites. Cheap Slap started in 2006 as a hobby, and I had no idea it would grow so much! Now we have loads of members, many of whom I consider friends.

I love music and wherever I am it is always on. There’s nothing that a dance around the kitchen can’t usually put right in our house! My life has calmed down a lot the past couple of years and magazines are my escapism to the jetset world I no longer inhabit (sigh).

When I remember, I try to stop rushing around and just enjoy the moment. Life can be crazy, shit happens, but I am glad to be here. It is people who make the world go round and if I can do my small bit by helping a few people out through Cheap Slap then it is a pleasure to do so.

Oh and you may notice a recurrent theme popping up throughout the site about my weight – I am prone to fitness and diet crazes, basically any excuse to continue eating cake
